Halleluiah, praise Jesus, my threat to withhold my 10 unreleased pictures worked, as the NFL lockout came to an end last week, just as we had presumed. And the first few days of the new season has seen a flurry of activity on the free agent front, which made me think just how some people jumped the gun on their fantasy football league drafts.
Still, all those middle-aged, suburban guys whose dreams of playing football on Sundays were shattered when they threw out a shoulder, or who still dream big of one day running their own team, basically live for fantasy football. And you can count me among those masses.
Now, I’m no stranger to fantasy football; in fact, I’ll be co-hosting with Playmate Pilar Lastra a weekly fantasy sports show on SiriuxXm Fantasy Sports Radio. But during the lockout I basically fantasized over how I would run my own league. And now my time has arrived. I’m going to pattern my league from the television show The League (minus the vinegar strokes; the show’s fans will know what I’m talking about). I lived vicariously through The League after downloading and watching both seasons over the span of a few days.
